WEAVE West Virginia

Weave West Virginia is a statewide pilot program that aims to improve outcomes for individuals and their families experiencing intimate partner violence and substance use coercion. Through our combined efforts, NCDVTMH, West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources’ Bureau for Behavioral Health, West Virginia Coalition Against Domestic Violence, West Virginia Perinatal Partnership, and Marshall University Research Corporation’s West Virginia Behavioral Health Workforce and Health Equity Training Center are working together to weave strong and resilient networks of substance use specialists, domestic violence advocates, and healthcare providers to improve health, well-being, and safety throughout the state. This initiative addresses the oft-overlooked intersection of intimate partner violence and substance use, particularly for pregnant and postpartum people. Weave West Virginia employs a multi-tiered approach to build accessible and empowering networks of care across West Virginia for survivors and their families.
